Job Summary
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, vendor agreements, leases, and NDAs while providing legal counsel to executive leadership on corporate governance, employment matters, and business transactions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, identify risks to minimize liability, and oversee intellectual property, licensing, and regulatory filings. Support corporate governance activities including board meetings and filings, manage relationships with outside counsel, and provide legal training to management. Monitor legislative changes impacting operations and assist with employment investigations and dispute resolution. Requires an Indiana-licensed attorney with five years of corporate law experience.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the State of Indiana (or ability to obtain admission promptly)
- Minimum 5 years of corporate law experience
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory compliance
- Experience handling business transactions, negotiations, and risk management
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting hotel management companies, hospitality organizations, or commercial real estate businesses
- Knowledge of franchise agreements, hotel operations, and labor compliance
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and commercial leasing
