Corporate Attorney

Job Summary
The Corporate Attorney will oversee commercial contracting, negotiation of complex agreements, and legal operations, driving scalable, self-service contracting and CLM implementation (including Agiloft) while partnering with IT, finance, and procurement to optimize workflows. Responsibilities include guiding a direct report, drafting/negotiating agreements, providing strategic legal counsel on deal structures and risk, managing CLM processes, defining requirements for legal tech and AI tools, creating training materials, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives with stakeholders. The role requires JD, active bar membership, and substantial in-house experience with comfort leading teams, managing multiple projects, and communicating legal concepts to business leaders. The position is hybrid and located in Dearborn, MI, with international travel anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial legal experience, including contract review, drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements
- Prior in-house experience and expertise in direct selling, consumer products, or e-commerce industries preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor a team, setting clear priorities, providing direction and feedback, and fostering accountability and high engagement
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with peers, direct reports and executive management
- Experience implementing and scaling legal operations processes, including contract lifecycle management
- Must demonstrate a conceptual and business-oriented approach to communicating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance and be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-legal business leaders
