Job Summary
North America Corporate and Private Side commodities sales coverage for power—execute and originate transactions, lead marketing and growth strategy to strengthen the firm’s presence in the power sector, and provide best-in-class commodities coverage to power clients. Ensure first-call engagement with clients, maintain senior relationships within the power community, and coordinate with colleagues and stakeholders to drive deal execution. Strong expertise in power derivatives, modeling, negotiation, and secure communication of complex deal concepts to clients.
Required Qualifications
- Experience and deep product knowledge in power derivatives
- Deep Analytical skills and proven track record of ability to execute transactions with skill and urgency
- Fluent in the required legal documentation, modeling, and negotiation process associated with all aspects of the transactions
- Established senior relationships with the power community including the key players/stakeholders that are active within the space
- Knowledge of the North American physical and financial power markets
- Strong team player that works well under pressure and to tight deadlines - partners well with colleagues and works with a diverse group of stakeholders through the various stages of the process to bring deals to execution
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate the complex concepts of the deal into simple terms and actionable steps
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation skills
- Good PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
- Excellent time management skills
