Job Summary
Corporate and Investment Bank – Legal – Exchange Traded and Retail Structured Products Lawyer at Assistant Vice President level in EMEA. You will be involved in a mix of transactional and regulatory work, including review and drafting of documentation for exchange traded and retail structured products, establishment and maintenance of issuance programmes, regulatory implementation for securitised issuance, and advisory support on cross-border and distribution issues. The role requires drafting fluency, experience with structured products and derivatives documentation, knowledge of EU/UK financial services regulation, cross-functional collaboration with Sales & Trading and other corporate functions, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- A qualified lawyer with experience in a law firm and/or an in-house legal department with a transactional and regulatory background
- A team player, confident and proactive, enjoys regular interaction with Sales & Trading, legal colleagues and other corporate functions – including great communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with all levels and management
- Exceptional organisational, analytical and time management skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in drafting, including the ability to draft "plain language" disclosure documents
- Experienced with structured products and derivatives documentation as well as good knowledge of EU/UK financial services regulation and retail offerings
- Familiar with negotiating commercial and legal agreements including in cooperation agreements, distribution agreements and licence agreements
- A pro-active contributor and interested in improving processes and methods of working
