Job Summary
Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundation, corporate, and public funding sources while managing the full grant lifecycle from tracking to award stewardship. Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective funders by coordinating meetings, site visits, and appreciation activities, and build a robust pipeline of new funding prospects aligned with organizational priorities. Create persuasive impact reports, summaries, and stewardship materials that translate program outcomes into compelling narratives for leadership and board presentations. Partner with Programs, Finance, and Marketing teams to gather data and ensure proposals accurately reflect program goals and financial requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 - 3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, communications, relationship management, or a related field
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to hire
- Travel between The Worker sites as needed for meetings, training, and operational support
- Occasional evening and weekend availability for fundraising events and other organizational activities
Desired Qualifications

- Experience developing and maintaining professional relationships with funders, donors, partners, or stakeholders
- Experience using donor databases or CRM systems
- Bloomerang experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
