Job Summary
Oversee education and training related to basic and advanced life support for all staff throughout the enterprise, including clinical staff, physicians, residents, and GME students. Provide initial and follow-up education with continued needs assessments to ensure staff competence in responding to life-threatening events per American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines. Focus on high-risk, low-volume events to prepare staff for immediate recall and action, improving quality outcomes. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor status and travel to various Prime Healthcare facilities on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience ALS instructor
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor status required
- Minimum of five (5) years Emergency related experience required
- Must be able to travel to a variety of Prime Healthcare facilities on an as needed basis
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in health-related field preferred
