Job Summary
Corporate Affairs Lead for Haleon SEAT region, based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for shaping and protecting Haleon’s reputation and business across Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Lead communications strategy, government partnerships, and strategic advocacy to support sustainable growth; manage internal and external communications, media relations, crisis/issues management, and regulatory engagement; collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, legal, and commercial teams; report to Head of Corporate Affairs APAC and General Manager SEAT. Role requires steering senior stakeholders in a matrix organization and leveraging government networks for tangible business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy or other related qualifications
- 10-15 years’ experience in a Communications/Corporate Affairs role
- Experience leading or managing a regional scope within Southeast Asia
- Experience of regional internal and external communications strategy and delivery
- Good understanding of the Southeast Asian government affairs landscape and direct Government relationships at a senior level in Malaysia – complimented by demonstrated experience of leveraging your existing government network for tangible business outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, crisis and issues management
- Maturity to deal with and steer diverse internal stakeholders in a matrix organization towards clear outcomes
- Confidence to represent company in industry forums / committees independently
- Comfortable and adept at using AI-tools responsibly for efficiency and impact
- Highly collaborative working with a team spirit
- Able to excel in a leadership position without direct reports, leveraging agency support to drive outcomes
