Job Summary
Corporate Actions Specialist responsible for researching, analyzing, and processing voluntary and mandatory corporate actions with emphasis on data integrity and compliance within proprietary systems. Responsibilities include setting up client notifications and coordinating client elections at the custodian for voluntary actions, reviewing and processing based on client elections, researching and setting up mandatory events, ensuring taxability processing complies with audit requirements, reconciling cash, shares, and activity between banking operations and custodians, handling client inquiries, maintaining the corporate actions tracking site, following established operating procedures, and contributing to risk mitigation and project work. Requires BA/BS and 1-3 years of related experience; strong Excel and MS Office skills; detail-oriented, responsive, and capable of working both independently and in a team.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS required; Degree in finance, accounting, economics or statistics strongly preferred
- One to three years of work experience in corporate actions, securities processing, banking or trust operations
- Basic knowledge of corporate actions, security processing, accounting, balancing and banking
- Detail oriented, responsive, and effective communication
- Mastery of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to excel independently and as part of a team
