Job Summary
Research voluntary and mandatory corporate action terms using internal systems, custodian notifications, and approved sources. Prepare client notifications for voluntary actions, track responses and elections, and process routine events based on client elections under established procedures. Assist with setting up mandatory events, validate details, review taxability requirements, and reconcile cash, shares, and activity between banking systems and custodians. Respond to routine client inquiries, escalate complex issues, and maintain updates to tracking sites and internal records while following audit, risk, and compliance procedures.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, mathematics, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in corporate actions, securities processing, banking, trust operations, financial services, or an internship/co-op in a related area
- Foundational understanding of financial markets, securities processing, accounting, balancing, or banking concepts
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and willingness to learn complex operational processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to learn proprietary systems and workflow tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to ask questions, document work, and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team
