Corporate Accounting Manager

Corporate Accounting Manager role, On-site in Downers Grove, IL, reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller. Responsibilities include managing the corporate general ledger and consolidations, coordinating internal and external financial reporting to ensure GAAP compliance and SEC requirements, performing technical accounting research, and supporting investor communications. Oversees monthly close and consolidation processes, acts as the Unicom Finance consolidation system administrator, contributes to forecasting and budgeting, and ensures timely ELIMINATION entries and consolidated results for domestic and foreign entities. Reviews journal entries and reconciliations, resolves technical accounting issues, collaborates with external auditors, and manages SEC filings and XBRL reporting. Leads a team of 1–2; participates in ad-hoc projects including M&A. Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA preferred), 4+ years of accounting experience, 1+ year supervisory experience, SEC reporting experience, and ERP experience (JD Edwards/Cognos/Unicom). Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to work in a team and drive process improvements across the close-to-reporting cycle.
