Job Summary
Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring stakeholders monitor variances and understand trends to restore adherence to plan. Establish reliable data infrastructure using Power BI and SQL Server to visualize business performance metrics and support monthly/quarterly reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify financial risks, optimize cash forecasting, and reduce cycle times in invoice-to-cash processes. Develop data-driven solutions for strategic objectives while communicating insights to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Canadian citizen or authorized in writing to work in Canada under federal immigration requirements
- Currently residing in Canada
- A S.T.E.M. or Finance degree
- CPA, CA qualification
- Previous experience within the mining services sector
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards using PowerBI, SQL Server Reporting Services or similar reporting platforms
- Knowledge and practical use of advanced SQL skills including querying, data transformation, optimization and integrating data from multiple relational databases
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA automation
- Ability to work independently as required and/or as part of a high-performance team
- High level of motivation – dependably on time with deliverables
- Flexibility in being able to meet requirements that may change based on shifting and competing business and project priorities
- Strong English language skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to work cooperatively with others being part of a team, holding and displaying values of the company

- Experience with data visualization software such as Microsoft Power BI
