Job Summary
As our Accounting Assistant, you will perform high-volume data entry of vendor invoices and factory supplier transactions, reconcile vendor statements to internal ledgers, process vendor payments, and retrieve invoice data from vendor portals. You’ll maintain accurate records for large data sets, adapt to changes in vendor statements and web-based applications, and support both accounts payable and general ledger activities. The role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in 10-key data entry, and intermediate Excel skills. The position is based at the corporate office in Eugene, OR, with responsibilities centered on managing supplier data, vendor communications, and routine reconciliations within a multi-company accounting environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in accounting or three to five years of relevant work experience preferred
- Strong 10-key by touch data entry skills
- Strong understanding of the accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles
- Experience with account reconciliation
- Intermediate Excel skills, and the ability to learn new computer systems and business partner website applications
- Experience in the accounting department of an entity with multiple companies is beneficial but not required
