Job Summary
Maintain, control, and reconcile general ledger accounts while processing internal and external reinsurance transactions. Develop financial models using OneStream to produce statements and analysis, ensuring compliance with statutory accounting principles and GAAP. Balance and audit accounting transactions across multi-company operations, verify account balances, and initiate corrective actions for discrepancies. Prepare audit schedules, maintain subsidiary ledgers, and resolve reconciliation issues with business units and banks. Work remotely with flexibility for overtime or weekends as deadlines require.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance function
- Hands-on experience with automated accounting systems and data processing, including general ledger accounting, account analysis, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, application of GAAP, and advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet reporting
- Proven ability to convey complex information clearly through written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed to meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience balancing ledgers and supporting accounting systems
- Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Prior experience working in a deadline-driven, project-based environment
