Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance Manager for a fast-growing BBQ company with 22 locations across 5 states. Responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems with emphasis on HVAC (walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units) across restaurants, troubleshooting general maintenance tasks, and coordinating with outside vendors. Primary work is local in the St. Louis area with occasional travel to other regions; on-call availability required. 5+ years of hands-on facilities experience, HVAC expertise, and experience with commercial kitchen equipment are valued. The role requires independent time management, strong problem-solving, and effective vendor coordination; candidates must be comfortable with tools and physical tasks and hold a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on facilities or maintenance experience (preferably in a restaurant or retail environment)
- HVAC experience (EPA Certification preferred)
- Experience working with commercial kitchen equipment, especially smokers (a plus)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time independently and prioritize tasks across multiple locations
- Must be comfortable working with tools and performing physical tasks (lifting, climbing ladders, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills
- On-call availability for emergencies
