Job Summary
Receive and investigate reports of deaths, liaise with bereaved families, doctors, pathologists, and external agencies to produce reports and inquest files for H.M. Coroner. Manage cases timely to ensure they are ready for court, compiling all required information under instruction from the Senior Coroner's Officer. Communicate sensitively and professionally with the public during difficult times while prioritizing workloads to meet strict deadlines. Work confidentially in a high-pressure environment, utilizing initiative to cope with potentially distressing material.
