Job Summary
Act as the first point of contact for legal queries from across the business, triaging and managing requests efficiently. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and service contracts. Support the data protection function by handling GDPR compliance, DPIAs, data processing agreements, and DSARs. Provide practical guidance on employment law matters and assist customer support and operations teams with escalated legal queries and regulatory complaints. Manage relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and third-party vendors while monitoring changes in data protection law. Contribute to the development of internal legal templates, policies, and procedures, and support the broader compliance function including licensing renewals and regulatory reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer
- 4–7 years of post-qualification experience
- Solid grounding in commercial contract law
- Experience negotiating with vendors and commercial partners
- Working knowledge of data protection law (GDPR / UK GDPR)
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks
- Exposure to employment law in a practical advisory capacity
- Comfortable operating as a generalist
- Enjoy variety
