Core Technician

Support geology department by handling, processing, and sampling/cutting diamond drill core; duties include intake and movement of core, setting out boxes, photographing core, QA/QC of photos, conducting specific gravity measurements, point load and in-situ tests, cutting core with automatic or manual wet saw, ensuring QA/QC samples, completing cutting logs and lab analysis forms, palletizing and storing logged cores, delivering sampled core/chips to assay lab on mine site, preparing samples and maintaining shipment batch lists for outside laboratories, maintaining housekeeping and PPE usage, operating forklift to move core skids, storing pulps and rejects, collaborating with the project team, managing time to meet objectives, and assisting geologists as required.
