Job Summary
Senior Associate – Core Strats Library within Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity Derivatives Strats team. Focus is on expanding and enhancing a large C++ valuation-model library, building automated testing and quality-assurance tooling, improving platform reliability and performance, and driving modernization efforts (RHEL9 rollout, Bazel adoption, C++20 migration, Docker adoption). Responsibilities include leading engineering initiatives for platform modernization, building and enhancing automated testing frameworks (regression testing, static analysis, fuzzing, property-based testing), improving code coverage and SonarQube quality gates, supporting release automation and audit readiness, and contributing to production-like test harnesses and data-analytics for defect detection. Preferred skills include knowledge of optimization algorithms, CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, and experience with large-scale C++ codebases. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field involving applied mathematics (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics)
- 2+ years of strong software development experience in C++
- Experience with Python or Java
- Experience in Linux environments
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies (unit, regression, automation)
