Job Summary
Lead core shed operations by performing and monitoring sampling, RC drilling, and record-keeping while coordinating logistics for shipping and storage. Provide safety leadership to meet workplace expectations, mentor personnel, and interface with contractors to execute department objectives. Monitor and correct errors, improve routine procedures, and maintain logs and files as required. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance policies. Requires five years in exploration sample processing, strong communication skills, and mastery of sampling equipment.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years' experience in an exploration sample processing environment
- General understanding of mining operations
- Limited understanding of processing and maintenance operations
- Working knowledge and skill with computers utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the exploration team
- Mastery in the operation of all sampling-related equipment and duties
- Adherence to all safety and environmental disciplines
- Strong commitment to safe working practices
- Alertness to observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements
