Job Summary
Own residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through final completion, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and meeting client expectations. Independently manage day-to-day project decisions while proactively identifying challenges and bringing forward solutions. Create and manage project schedules using JobTread software and coordinate lead carpenters, trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and project resources. Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for homeowners, providing proactive updates and conducting regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance. Maintain accurate project documentation, photos, and communication within JobTread, while reviewing performance reports with the Production Manager. Complete accurate daily time tracking and manage project closeout activities, including completion lists and final summaries.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in residential remodeling or residential construction
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes, materials, and building practices
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Required: Experience using construction project management software such as JobTread, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar platforms to manage schedules, documentation, communication, and project tracking
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction documents
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and client satisfaction
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of project outcomes
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, smartphones, and technology tools
- Valid driver's license required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience with WIP reporting, Estimates vs. Actual reporting, and gross profit management
