Job Summary
Cut and shape aluminum honeycomb hexagonal cores to fit aerostructure panel interiors using standard hand tools, sanding blocks, routers, and bandsaws. Read and interpret blueprints and mylars to size cores to precise specifications, then follow work instructions while measuring with rulers and calipers. Stand, walk, reach, push, pull, bend, and apply pressure throughout the day, occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs. Requires fluent reading, writing, and comprehension of English. Wage range depends on experience, with higher pay for advanced skills.
Required Qualifications
- proficient in the use of standard hand tools including sanding blocks and routers
- Experience using bandsaws
- accurately read and interpret blueprints and mylars
- accurately follow work instructions
- fluent reading, writing, and comprehension of the English language
- Knowledge of various measuring devices such as rulers and calipers
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pds occasionally
- Processor is required to stand, walk, reach push, pull, bend, apply pressure with hands, and lift regularly throughout the day
