Job Summary
Develop and enhance the residency curriculum, rotations, and educational initiatives through lectures, workshops, simulation, and clinical precepting. Mentor residents in professional development, recruitment, and evaluation while fostering a supportive learning environment that prioritizes wellness. Provide direct patient care in the continuity clinic and inpatient setting, including shared call and attending responsibilities. Lead Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) education and clinical integration across graduate medical education programs by overseeing infrastructure, curriculum development, quality assurance, and faculty training. Collaborate with multiple residency programs to advance standardized ultrasound education and competency assessment. Engage in scholarly activity and ongoing faculty development at local and national levels. Partner with the Program Director to align responsibilities with program goals, including simulation, quality improvement, and research.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification
- Required completion of IM Residency Training
- MN Licensure or licensure eligibility
- Required to be an active member of the American Academy of Physicians and/or the Society of Hospital Medicine
- ACLS
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred three years' experience as an internal medicine or critical care physician or applicable internal medicine subspecialties
- Preferred Fellowship training in Faculty Development
