Job Summary
Core Faculty position (full-time) in USAHS nursing programs, focusing on teaching in MSN and Doctoral tracks (FNP/PMHNP) with responsibilities spanning online and potentially residency activities, course-development and assessment, scholarly work, and student mentorship. Responsibilities include teaching three to four assigned courses per trimester, supervising practicum experiences, supporting residency experiences, engaging in scholarship and faculty development, staying current with clinical practice and licensure requirements, participating in program and university committees, and collaborating across interprofessional teams. Qualifications require a terminal nursing degree (PhD/DNP), active RN license, PMHNP certification, and a robust track record in nursing education and distance-learning delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree in nursing (PhD or DNP)
- Active and unencumbered RN license in home state and eligible for licensure in all 50 states
- Current national certification as PMHNP
- APRN license in home state as well as states where students live, if required
- Significant record of intellectual and professional contributions to nursing
- Teaching experience; doctoral-level teaching preferred
- Distance learning teaching experience preferred
