Job Summary
Lead end-to-end solution design for Core & Edge networking architectures during live events, overseeing venue deployment, broadcast networks, and operational zones. Direct implementation leadership from hardware roll-out through integration with security systems, while guiding operations teams to maintain stability and performance. Coordinate with venue managers and engineering teams to align designs with event timelines, and handle complex network incidents with rapid diagnosis and resolution. Create and maintain network diagrams, implementation guides, and operational runbooks for smooth handover. Support continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities from previous large-scale event networks. Roles are onsite in Milan, with L2 staff working day shifts and L3 staff on a 24x7 rotation covering day, evening, and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise networking consulting or solution delivery, ideally in large-scale or high-availability environments (sports, broadcast, public venues)
- Proven experience designing and implementing Core & Edge networks, SD-WAN, LAN/WLAN, and security solutions
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring, incident management, and operational support processes
- Ability to lead and coordinate multi-vendor and cross-functional teams under time pressure
- Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
- Must be onsite in Milan, client offices - day shift
- Must be onsite in Milan, client's Technical Operations Centre - part of 24x7 shift team
- Must be available for Day: 06:00 – 15:00
- Must be available for Evening : 14:00 – 23:00
- Must be available for Night: 22:00 – 07:00
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting international sports, entertainment, or similar events
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE)
