Job Summary
Review donor paperwork for accuracy, determine initial eligibility, and train hospital staff to collect cord blood per Standard Operating Procedures. Educate clinicians and potential donor moms on the donation process, ensure collected units and supplies are stored and shipped properly, and maintain essential stock. Develop positive relationships with hospital staff while representing LifeSouth favorably to the public and participating institutions. This full-time role requires a first shift base with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to primarily work first shift
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to interact with medical professional at every level
- Positive bedside manner and emotional intelligence with excellent customer service skills
- Associate Degree
- Previous healthcare experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Criminal background check
- Drug screen
