Job Summary
Technical Sales Representative for ANI/RVI products responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy in the assigned territory, promoting and demonstrating products, and attaining sales targets. Knowledge of the technical features of the products and ability to demonstrate them to customers, managing the selling process of a technical cycle. This is an outside sales role with travel about 50% to meet customers for product demonstrations and opportunities. Responsibilities include visiting customers to demonstrate products, following up on leads, prospecting and cold calling to identify new opportunities, completing timely quotations with support from sales engineers, coordinating with others at Wabtec to coordinate selling efforts, developing a Sales Plan with territory coverage, maintaining in-field time, improving product presentation, and using the EVIDENT CRM for tasks and reporting. Travel ~50% within the territory, participate in local professional organizations, and adhere to the Wabtec Code of Ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent sales experience required.
- Minimum 1+ year experience in high end capital equipment sales or similar selling skills and training desired.
- Strong computer skills (i.e., Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to learn the scientific principles and technology of the equipment.
