Job Summary
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician performs pre-delivery inspections on all types of buses and modifies buses to meet DOT and customer specifications, including seat placement, air systems, chassis and body. Requires understanding DOT requirements for school and commercial buses, reading work orders, maintaining professional relations with DOT inspectors, and following prescribed safety methods. Schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday, day shift. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life insurance, AFLAC, FSA, HSA with company contribution, 401(k) with company match, PTO, holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial and school vehicles
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Read and understand DOT and Blue Bird specification sheets
