Job Summary
The Parts Sales Associate role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while supporting both retail and wholesale automotive parts sales. Responsibilities include assisting technicians, service advisors, and external clients with parts selection and availability; looking up, pricing, and selling parts using CDK and manufacturer catalogs; processing invoices, purchase orders, warranties, and returns; maintaining accurate inventory; coordinating with the Parts Manager on stocking and backorder follow-up; handling inbound calls and walk-in inquiries; communicating parts status to service and sales teams; and adhering to dealership policies and safety standards to foster a positive, customer-focused environment. Key skills sought include knowledge of automotive parts and terminology, CDK experience (preferred), strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of automotive parts experience
- Prior experience in dealership or wholesale parts environment is a plus
- Experience using CDK preferred
- Knowledge of automotive parts and terminology
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and comfort with DMS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse setting as needed
