Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols of hospital grounds, parking areas, hallways, and entrances to ensure site safety. Monitor surveillance systems and access control points, reporting suspicious activity immediately. Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents or security threats while de-escalating conflicts and enforcing hospital policies. Provide customer service by greeting visitors and assisting staff, then document all incidents and activities in daily reports. Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement to maintain a coordinated security effort.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Code of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor)
- Valid Class 5 Driver License
- Willingness to take shifts at sites within a reasonable driving distance
- English (oral and written) fluency
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- High School Diploma
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
