Diagnostician in the Special Education Office responsible for implementing the special education appraisal process. Duties include assessing students’ educational needs and learning styles, selecting and administering formal and informal assessments to determine eligibility for special education services, collecting and organizing data from multiple sources, conducting classroom observations and interviews, participating in the ARD Committee to interpret assessment data, assist with IEP development, providing staff development on disability related assessments, and ensuring compliance with federal and Texas regulations. Requires collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff, along with maintaining thorough records and ongoing evaluation of the assessment program.
