Job Summary
Supervise custodial staff daily by organizing schedules, assigning work routines, and ensuring quality standards through frequent area inspections using computer-aided systems. Lead safety initiatives by training employees on PPE, investigating accidents to determine causes, and providing on-the-job coaching for equipment and chemical usage. Manage equipment and consumables to maintain adequate supplies while coordinating major projects like fire clean-ups or snow removal during and after hours. Address disciplinary actions by counseling staff and issuing written warnings in consultation with management. Report directly to the Area Manager in a full-time, 1st or 2nd shift role at HES, a premier national provider of facilities management services for educational institutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience
- Custodial Knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Basic Mechanical Knowledge
- Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Must be able to plan and perform major cleaning operations
- Must be able to supervise assigned work projects
- Must be able to coordinate major work projects
- Must be able to follow up on Supervisory Responsibility
- Must be able to supervise Custodians on a daily basis
- Must be able to ensure that individual and building inspections meet service level quality standards
- Must be able to utilize computer-aided inspection systems
- Must be able to provide proper personal protective equipment
- Must be able to investigate accidents
- Must be able to make determinations as of cause of injuries
- Must be able to report all concerns and injuries
- Must be able to provide on the job training for new employees
- Must be able to provide continuing training using on the job coaching methods
- Must be able to manage equipment and consumables
- Must be able to coordinate and provide assistance for building emergencies
- Must be able to work During and after working hours
- Must be able to Discipline and counsel staff in disciplinary actions
- Must be able to advise office when verbal & written disciplinary actions have been given
- Must be able to Jointly meet with employee and manager when problem warrants written warnings
Desired Qualifications
