Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes, reading blueprints and applying GD&T to establish work offsets and adjust machines as needed. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment while monitoring part quality and maintaining tight tolerances. Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues, complete production documentation, and maintain a clean, safe work area by following all safety procedures. Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to support continuous improvement initiatives. Training provided for Swiss lathe operation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating and/or setting up CNC lathes in a precision machining environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Strong Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
- Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and a willingness to learn
Desired Qualifications
- Swiss lathe experience
- Setup experience
- Experience in a precision machining or high-volume production environment
