Job Summary
Conduct flight and ground instruction for students while ensuring compliance with TSA procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, and North Star Aviation policy. Maintain orderly student records, perform periodic audits to correct errors, and collaborate with schedulers to meet flight lab completion deadlines. Follow FOM procedures, file safety reports, and attend periodic safety meetings to uphold a general safety mindset. This role requires a 2nd Class Medical, CFI, CFI-I, and MEI ratings, plus ability to meet the Aviation English Language Standard.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold at least a 2nd Class Medical
- Must have CFI, CFI-I, and MEI ratings
- Able to meet the Aviation English Language Standard (AELS) as outlined by the FAA
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. routinely and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling
- Frequent work in small places, extreme temperatures, heights above six feet and noisy environments
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching in PA-28-161/181, PA-44-180, and G1000
