Copilot Development Engineer

Job Summary
Copilot & Agent Solution Development: design, build, and iteratively improve task-oriented Copilot agents and agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure OpenAI; translate business requirements into agent logic, prompts, workflows, and guardrails; rapid movement from proof of concept to MVP and production. Systems, Data & Integration: integrate Copilot agents with enterprise systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, APIs); collaborate with IT/security/data teams to ensure access management, data usage, and compliance; support multi-step workflows. Quality, Risk & Governance: apply responsible AI principles, implement prompt versioning, testing, monitoring, and lifecycle management; contribute to governance practices and security policies. Collaboration, Enablement & Standards: co-create solutions with business teams, act as a technical advisor on Copilot capabilities, contribute to shared standards and reusable components; support internal capability building. Key competencies include hands-on experience with LLM-based solutions, prompt engineering, API integrations, scripting, and strong cross-functional collaboration; role emphasizes enterprise-grade, secure, scalable Copilot/AI solutions with governance and user-focused improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience in AI, software, or automation development
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based solutions (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI)
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, agent patterns, tool/function calling, and multi-step workflows
- Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems via APIs and workflows
- Basic scripting or development capability (e.g. Python, JavaScript)
- Experience in the Microsoft ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform) is a strong advantage
- Ability to balance speed, usability, security, and governance
- Ability to explain AI behavior and limitations in business-friendly language
- Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional and international environments
