Job Summary
Process student conduct cases by conducting intake meetings, investigations, and administrative hearings to apply developmental sanctions and draft outcome letters. Coordinate case management for students facing crises, providing initial outreach, referrals, and ongoing support while maintaining confidential case notes. Balance accountability with care by collaborating with Housing, Police, Counseling Services, and Academic Affairs to address complex personal and behavioral challenges. Monitor ongoing cases for the Behavioral Intervention Team and assist in identifying patterns requiring proactive intervention. Support educational programming and faculty training on recognizing and reporting student concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Three years 3 years of professional experience in student conduct, case management, student support services, or a closely related area
- Knowledge of student conduct processes, FERPA, and due process principles
- Demonstrated ability to work with students experiencing crisis, distress, or complex personal circumstances
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- This position is confidentially sensitive
- This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures
- All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements
- This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, social work, or related field
- Experience serving on a BIT or threat assessment team
- Experience working with first-generation, rural, or underserved student populations
- Familiarity with conduct management and case tracking software systems
