Job Summary
Coordinate meal preparation and service for assigned school sites by executing batch cooking, operating equipment, and adhering to standardized recipes. Inspect and taste all food items before serving, ensuring lines are stocked, cleaned, and displays are attractive while maintaining safe temperatures per HACCP guidelines. Record and maintain accurate logs for Student Nutrition Services, Florida Department of Agriculture, Hillsborough County Health, and USDA. Manage all program aspects in the absence of the SNs Manager and handle duties as assigned. Requires two years of food service experience, Production Coordinator Training Program completion, and ability to lift up to 35 pounds in extreme heat or cold.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience in food service
- Must successfully complete the Production Coordinator Training Program
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, handle, taste, smell, keyboard, talk, and hear
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to reach with both dominant and non-dominant hands, including overhead
- Must be able to work in noise intensity 4, extreme heat, extreme cold, and proximity to moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence
- Must be able to speak effectively before groups of individuals
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs
- Must be able to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Must be able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office
