Job Summary
Shelter Partnership Coordinators support Best Friends Animal Society’s no-kill mission by coordinating lifesaving programs with partner shelters, leading volunteers, and developing resources for partner shelters. Responsibilities include working with shelter staff on sustainable lifesaving programs, leading volunteer teams, maintaining data and records, and collaborating across operations to achieve lifesaving goals. Requires experience in animal sheltering, ability to drive large vehicles, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and flexibility to travel. The role is based in Salt Lake City, UT, with in-person duties and varied hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Background in animal sheltering or related volunteer work
- Ability to drive large multi-passenger vehicles
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and shelter software or willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel including overnight stays
- Comfort working with animals and in a shelter setting
- Ability to lift and perform physical tasks as described in the job posting
