Job Summary
Coordinator - Safety in Winnipeg leads development and maintenance of WRHA's prevention-oriented Occupational Health & Safety program. Supports compliance with the Workplace Safety & Health Act and relevant regulations, guides departments toward regulatory compliance, assists in resolving concerns, designs and evaluates corporate safety programs (including Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work practices), and collaborates within the WRHA Safety Coordinator team to provide services across integrated groups. Requires experience in workplace health & safety within healthcare, skill in delivering educational material, and proficiency with office software; incumbent must be able to work in a team, respond to inquiries, and operate under pressure. Anticipated start date 06/29/2026; in-person, days shift, 7.75 hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in Workplace Health & Safety
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety/Industrial Hygiene
- Registration as Canadian Registered Safety Professional preferred
- Ability to effectively respond to concerns and questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English
