Job Summary
Coordinator, Safety & Loss Control is responsible for the administration and coordination of site safety programs for Line Creek operating groups, on a 5x2 schedule; duties include applying continuous improvement processes to improve health and safety performance, advising, coaching, and supporting the workforce to ensure proper fatal hazard protocols are implemented and occupational safety standards and legal requirements are fulfilled, coordinating safety systems and programs such as Incident Reporting System, site tours, HSEC assurance audits, inspections, contractor management, and visual field leadership activities, and supporting the Health & Safety Management System, SafeCoal. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, working knowledge of HSRC regulations or similar, and experience in safety and loss control in mining or heavy industrial environments; a valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required. The position operates on a 5x2 schedule and is based in Sparwood, British Columbia, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite®
- Working knowledge of applicable HSRC regulations or similar
- Experience in practical and theoretical safety and loss control in mining or other heavy industrial environment is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
