Job Summary
RN Coordinator oversees nursing services for a developmentally disabled population in a residential setting. Responsibilities include participation in admission decisions, collaboration with multiple departments to develop support and coordinate care, monitoring clinical staff practices, providing clinical supervision to residential nurses, oversight of training and QA activities, infection control surveillance and reporting, plan of correction participation, and serving as a leader in the Infection Control Committee. The role requires ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinating scheduling and leaves for RNs, and interacting with physicians, families, vendors, and government representatives.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Nursing preferred
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse
- 2-5 years previous experience as an RN required
- Experience in an ICF or IRA for the Developmentally Disabled preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations that apply to the practice of nursing in a group home setting
- Has strong organizational and time management skills
