Job Summary

Develop and maintain the district's network infrastructure while overseeing all facets of IT customer service, systems administration, and physical infrastructure. Lead and manage operations for software and hardware deployment, ensuring maximum availability, reliability, and security across Dublin City Schools. Collaborate with operational and academic leadership to establish IT standards, protocols, and procedures, while managing departmental budgets and vendor relationships. Hire, train, and mentor staff to drive continuous improvement in technical services and customer support. Identify and evaluate new technologies to serve students and staff, ensuring compliance with data privacy policies and security incident response plans. Manage a full-time role with occasional evening or weekend work, requiring travel to district facilities and readiness for calamity days.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology related field
  • 5 + years leading design and support of enterprise-level IT infrastructures
  • Expertise in operational stability, ensuring up-time
  • Experience as the escalation point for production issues
  • Leadership experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, data security and privacy management
  • Leadership experience in data center management and moves
  • Experience managing help desk and application support functions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of and leadership of teams managing various infrastructures and network connectivity between multiple buildings and locations
  • Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Effective, active listening skills
  • Strong organizational, written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet applications and databases
  • Ability to research issues/problems and identify practical, everyday solutions
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and documents
  • Ability to plan, schedule, organize, and prioritize activities and assignments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in the support of personnel data and the keeping of personnel records
  • Ability to understand and interpret basic policies and procedures
  • Ability to establish effective positive relationships with district employees, parents, and students
  • Ability to operate a vehicle under inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to travel to all district facilities
  • Ability to work occasional evening/weekend shifts
