Job Summary
Coordinate special education programs and services for the Department of Early Childhood Education, collaborating with administration and school districts to develop strategies aligned with institutional goals. Review, develop, and implement diverse educational activities while managing the department budget and coordinating grant writing to maximize revenue sources. Assist in curriculum development, monitor continuous improvement processes, and lead reviews of program structures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Provide training to staff, facilitate committee participation, and foster team building among educators serving students with special needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in special education
- Master's degree in school psychology
- Pa. Department of Education (PDE) Certification in special education
- Pa. Department of Education (PDE) Certification in school psychology
- Eight to ten years of teaching and/or clinical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate (preferred)
- Pa. Licensed Psychologist
- Individual working towards or willing to work towards PDE Administrative Certification as Supervisor of Special Education, Pupil Services, or Principal
