Coordinator of Student Activities for Fraternity & Sorority Life

Job Summary
Advise the Patterson Court Council executive board in collaboration with the Associate Director for Student Activities, attending regular board and general body meetings while providing one-on-one guidance and training for officers. Oversee portions of the event planning and approval process, including risk management fidelity, and assist in facility oversight through budget allocation and upkeep checks. Create and implement risk management programming, such as hazing prevention education and semesterly training for members, while planning annual retreats for student leaders. Assist in organizing recruitment and intake processes, including new member education, and support major events like New Student Orientation, Student Activities Fairs, Winterfest, Spring Frolics, and the Senior Class Party. This 12-month, non-exempt, in-person role requires availability for evening and weekend meetings and events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Desire to work in a collaborative liberal arts environment
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related experience in Fraternity and Sorority Life, leadership development, and/or student activities
- Two years of graduate assistantship experience equates to one year of professional experience
- Solid understanding of student learning and development
- Leadership and organizational development
- Group facilitation
- Social justice issues
- Leadership and contribution to an inclusive and celebratory work environment
- Membership in a fraternity or sorority
- Available to work a flexible 40-hour week, including some evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
