Coordinator of Life Teen and Edge

Job Summary

Coordinate high school and middle school youth ministry programs including Life-Teen, EDGE, and Teen ACTS. Organize, schedule, and supervise faith formation groups while managing sacramental programs, liturgies, and volunteer training. Prepare weekly bulletins, annual budgets, and yearly calendars; maintain student files, sacramental records, and parish master calendars. Recruit catechists, ensure Virtus compliance for all volunteers, and foster collaboration with parish ministries and St. Luke School. Advise students and parents on concerns and assist with major parish fundraisers. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as an unpredictable schedule requires.

Required Qualifications

  • Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community
  • Undergraduate work in Theology, Catechesis or extensive parish experience as a Youth Minister
  • Three years of parish and/or administrative office experience
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of staff and management
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays due to work an unpredictable schedule when necessary
  • Must be able to lift 10- 25 pounds
  • Must be able to handle 10% local and 5% overnight travel
  • Must be able to handle 10% local and 5% overnight travel (charter bus for Life Teen retreat)

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to compose correspondence, minutes and/or reports
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good problem - solving and decision - making abilities
  • At least one year of experience working with volunteers
  • Experience in marketing, non-profit and/or networking
  • Proven ability to accept feedback from Pastor and adapt approach with volunteers as needed
  • Ability to be innovative and generate ideas that work with ever-changing community needs
  • Must cooperate as a team member and demonstrate ability to produce in a results - driven environment
  • Must be able to prioritize effectively
  • Must handle pressure well
