Job Summary
Oversee simulation, clinical learning, and laboratory experiences to ensure course learning outcomes for all nursing programs. Coordinate simulation events, secure clinical placements with partners, and manage lab equipment and supplies. Lead the Simulation Committee, develop curriculum using HSSBP and INACSL standards, and facilitate high-quality scenarios for undergraduate and graduate students. Maintain lab budgets, conduct evaluations of simulation effectiveness, and manage student achievement data. Contribute to long-range planning, faculty development, and community outreach activities while supporting program directors.
Required Qualifications
- Must demonstrate an understanding the Walsh University Statement of Faith and a commitment to support the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University in accordance with Ex Corde Ecclesiae and the Catholic intellectual tradition
- Applicants must hold a Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN)
- Applicants must hold or be eligible for Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) within 6 months
- Current simulation certification or in process
- Active, unencumbered Ohio RN Licensure
- Experience facilitating high-quality simulation scenarios using the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSBP)
Desired Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) or currently enrolled in a doctoral program preferred
- Understanding of Acemapp, Silk Road, CastleBranch and Typhon preferred
