Job Summary
Major Gifts Coordinator at Phillips Academy supporting the Major Gifts team by handling event logistics for private development gatherings, managing calendars and travel for the Director and gift officers, preparing fundraising reports and briefing materials, maintaining constituent data and donor correspondence, and providing general clerical support including travel reimbursements and office inventory. The role emphasizes strong communication, data management, CRM usage, and coordination of donor-related activities, with occasional evening/weekend work for special events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Two to four years of experience in an executive-administrative position, preferably in fundraising, development, or educational environment, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience with CRM systems and fundraising databases preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Scheduling, organization, time management, and travel logistics experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Professional and respectful demeanor, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer service
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and adapt to organizational changes
- Some evening and weekend work related to special events and meetings may be required
