Job Summary
Coordinator, Land & Conservation at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center leads habitat restoration and trail maintenance, oversees the Plants for Birds garden and nursery, coordinates conservation projects with SAWS, recruits and manages volunteers, conducts outreach, tracks water-conservation metrics, and performs related administrative duties to support Audubon’s conservation priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, conservation biology, wildlife management, or related field
- Experience with facilities or trail maintenance
- Knowledge of native plant species and propagation
- Knowledge of invasive species and removal methods
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to transport up to 50 lbs and work outside in extreme temperatures
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Multilingual preferred (Spanish, English, ASL)
- GIS knowledge a plus
