Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee district-wide Advanced Academics and Gifted & Talented programming for PK-12, ensuring coherence, rigor, and alignment with district priorities. Support campuses in AP and advanced learning experiences, oversee equitable G/T identification per state and district expectations, design and deliver professional learning for teachers, counselors, and administrators, develop HQIM and assessments, provide technical assistance to campuses, monitor participation and outcomes, coordinate district-wide events and enrichment, and collaborate with CCMR, curriculum, and school leadership to align programming with district goals. Utilize data-driven practices to drive continuous improvement, support CCMR indicators, and facilitate testing coordination (PSAT/SAT/ACT and AP exams). Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and readiness to support testing windows and critical reporting periods; build collaborative relationships across campuses and central offices to scale impact on student outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Education preferred.
- Certification/License: Gifted and Talented certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in teaching, Advanced Academics, G/T education, and/or a related field required.
- Experience: Experience supporting Advanced Academics and/or G/T programming and coursework implementation at the campus or district level, or supporting G/T identification and services, including familiarity with state requirements and equitable identification practices required.
- Experience: Experience successfully collaborating with administrators, counselors, and teachers at the secondary level required.
- Experience: Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly in a large urban school district preferred.
