Job Summary
Coordinator I, Laboratory Operations to coordinate laboratory and storeroom operations in support of tissue-based regenerative medicine research. Responsibilities include daily parts washer runs, hand washing and preparation of surgical pans, maintaining lab log sheets for parts washer/autoclave usage, assisting with equipment installations and inventory reviews, restocking supplies with proper FIFO, preparing buffer solutions and cleaning solutions, collecting and transporting biohazardous/chemical waste, transporting linens, coordinating cleaning schedules, preparing signage, receiving and storing shipments, updating master supply lists, maintaining Kanban cards, and performing routine cycle counts. Requires ability to follow standard protocols, strong collaboration and communication skills, and an onsite presence at 100% in Durham, NC (with RTP, NC location noted). Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree in a scientific discipline and related lab experience.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1+ years of related industry experience with a H.S. Diploma; commensurate experience and/or combination of education and experience will be considered
- or 0+ years of related industry experience with an Associate degree; commensurate experience and/or combination of education and experience will be considered
- Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and related standard software experience
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English required)
- Ability to initiate and manage day-to-day tasks effectively and with limited supervision
- Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to independently follow standard protocols
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in a scientific discipline
