Job Summary
Coordinate Student Accessibility Services at Felician University to ensure equitable access for students with disabilities. Manage an assigned caseload of students receiving approved academic accommodations and evaluate/facilitate reasonable accommodations through an interactive process. Oversee academic and instructional accommodations, review disability documentation for both academic and housing accommodation requests, and advise students regarding disability accommodations. Direct faculty and staff regarding accommodations to ensure compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, and serve as the resident expert on policies and services for students with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Law or a related field required
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in ADA/ Section 504 coordination, compliance, or investigations
- Familiarity with education and medical documentation/criteria utilized in disability assessment and compliance in higher education
- Computer and technology literacy including Microsoft Office applications and assistive technology platforms
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills and attend conferences/webinars related to disability services
- Experience responding to or supporting reviews, complaints, or investigations from the Office for Civil Rights or similar regulatory body
- Ability and willingness to support and promote Felician Franciscan core values and mission
